For this new album, I wanted to go as far as possible. I wanted to take chances and dive into the heart of the songs. 
‘I’m a Stranger Here Myself’ is all sex and sensuality. A gorgeous statue in a Manhattan Museum is magically brought to life and conquers the hearts of unsuspecting New Yorkers. Only Weill could make this much naked desire so ridiculously fun and charming. Listen here:

‘The Ballad of Mackie Messer’ In the original 1920’s version, Mackheath is a bloodthirsty gangster. In the 1960’s American version, he is a swinging man-around-town. My version updates him into a dangerous, seductive killer. Listen here:

‘There’s Nowhere To Go But Up’ is about wild optimism in the face of all obstacles. It was a blast to record with this fun, swinging trio.  Listen here:
